A claybar is an engineered resin compound used to remove contaminants from the surface of your car’s paint, glass, fiberglass and metal. 

Detailing clay glides along the surface of your paint (when combined with a cleaner / polisher / wax) and grabs anything that protrudes from the surface. The particle sticks to the clay and is therefore removed from your vehicle.  It is a much better option than simply polishing to remove these contaminants.

Your vehicle is under constant assault from airborne pollutants. Brake dust, industrial fallout, acid rain deposits and rail dust all can stick to your vehicle. These contaminants usually contain metal particulates, which then penetrate the clear coat to attack the paint below and allows rust to spread beneath the clear coat. Tiny orange spots today, total paint system failure tomorrow! Detailing clay removes these contaminants in order to keep the paint healthy and vibrant.  The clay also removes stubborn sap, tar, and bug remains.

Clay to a detailer is akin to an artists brush or pencil.  The canvas is your vehicle and this is the instrument or tool that allows us to really show how much we can make it really have a showroom shine.

It is recommended to claybar & do a complete wax job twice per year, along with monthly maintenance in between. Once at the beginning of detail season in spring, and then also again toward the end of the detail season in fall.

The weather being unpredictable at times can definitely create challenges. Typically if the weather is 45 degrees and above the wax can be applied, however it does take approximately 25 - 50% more time (depending on cloud cover) when compared to being over 60 degrees.  There is no extra charge for this additional time.

Currently there are NO cancellation fees. We ask that you please cancel as far in advance as possible as a courtesy to us and other customers so that we may place them in your time slot. However we reserve the right to revisit this policy in the future by requiring a small 10% deposit with a debit/credit card via "Square" for $200 & above requests for our service if necessary.  Call or Text 740 434 0299 to reschedule or cancel.
